I found a perfect side hustle for me on Friday. Stumbled upon the opportunity when I was looking for client leads in the local paper. Called and hired on the spot. I am now a personal shopper.
I have one client. He’s a housebound older man. The weekly duties will be doing his grocery shopping and picking up to go meals at a local restaurant. Just once a week.

He’s also asked if I will take him to the doctor or stop at other local stores on occasion. For an additional fee, of course.
I’m really excited. Not only do I get to help someone who needs it, but also make a little extra money.
Maybe I can pick up some additional personal shopper clients as I get up and running! Yeah!

that sounds great! and there are probably more people needing that sort of service if you advertise.
I think that is great. I also live in rural GA and its sometimes hard for others to understand the complete lack of transportation resources available. You may want to put out that offer on local fb sites, I am sure there is not a task rabbit type app there but it may be something you want to try and replicate.
What a great way to earn some extra money and helping others at the same time!!!!
I like this because it also appeals to your generous and helping nature. I would just be cautious and realistic on the cost of this side hustle regarding mileage and the wear and tear. You will need to be assertive with an upcharge or refusing long distances.
That’s a GREAT side hustle! Hopefully this older guy will have some friends who may also be in need of your services! And you may just make a new friend out of it, too! 🙂
I love that you’re helping this gentleman, & being compensated, too! win-win!
That’s fabulous! You could probably batch this with some of your own grocery shopping to make it even more time efficient.
You could mention an interest in grocery shopping & delivery services to the grocery store and find out if you can advertise at the register.
This is so great! Hope you can find more!
That’s great! You’re helping someone out and earning a bit of extra cash. Hopefully he’ll have a few friends LOL.
I tutor, and I give a discounted rate if I tutor 2 people at the same time. Just sayin’ 😉
If there is an Area Council on Aging/Senior Resources type of group that serves your community and/or neighboring areas you might check with them about possible referrals or advertising your service.
You might consider checking with a local home health and hospice agency to see if they need “personal care attendants” or “homemakers.” They do many of the same duties you’re talking about. Most agencies have dire need for these individuals.
