From the recruiter for the local job

Good morning Hope,
Sorry it’s taken so long to get back with you.  I have been waiting for final word from <company name> as they made an offer to another candidate but it wasn’t accepted right away.  I will get an answer today.  They enjoyed meeting you and was impressed with your technical background so much they said they would consider you for a more technical role depending on how this turns out.  Again, wish I had better news but we’ll find out for sure later today. Thanks.

So thus it is confirmed with no decision needed on my part the best option right now is to open shop again on my own business.

No other messages received despite last line.

You know Hope, I think the Universe is talking and asking you to listen. With your kids’ schedules, homeschooling, etc., you need the flexibility of being your own boss. A 9-5, in-office job is not going to work for you given your other life choices, and you seem very certain that those choices are the right ones for all of you. So now, it’s time to reinvent yourself as Faith. Faith that you will market yourself effectively, Faith that by doing what you love the money will come, Faith!! Work as hard at marketing yourself as you have at trying to get a job. Put yourself in the driver’s seat. Faith!

Thank you, Constance. You are right having Faith is the key. And learning to trust myself again. I am getting there. Thank you for your support and understanding…if there is anything I am confident of it is that I am doing what is best for my kids and that is what matters most.

When one door closes, another one opens. Hang in there. Remember, you are a confident, brilliant, loving woman. You are exactly where you are supposed to be right now. There is a plan but it’s not always on our timeline. 🙂

You are so right! I am definitely learning to be patient and know that sometimes the right answer is WAIT. Thank you so much for reminding me of that.
And sometimes, it’s a window that opens which is okay too.

Just remember that God is in control and has ordained every aspect of your life. Trust him at all times and never waiver, for he knows what is best for you.

Thank you, Krystal. This is certainly something I am counting on. I truly, truly feel like I am being ‘clay’ in His hands at this time in my life and truly waiting on His guidance and His plan rather than leaning on my own. And as a result, feel very confident that He is guiding this journey now rather than my own selfish desires. Thank you so much for those words, it always helps to hear them and know there are like minded people out there.

Could it be possible that they “googled” you, partcularly your freelance website, and stumbled upon this blog – specifically the one entitled “Changing My Mind?”

The certainly could have…my freelancing is not surprise, it’s on my resume and I speak openly about it though so doubtful that it would have any affect. If offered and accepted a full time job I make it clear that I would no longer pursue freelance work.

So, what do you think ?
