It always seems when I complain about something…

it resolves itself.

We received our tax refund today.

As much as I’d love the feeling of writing a check for our final payment, I’m not exactly comfortable sending a check for a few grand. So we’ll be making the payment online. But I’m tired. And baby boy just fell asleep. And…

I’m kinda avoiding it because it will mean it’s over. I’ll be all on my own… and the support from you folks will be over.

Who knows… I may continue debt writing. For now? I’m going to take a break. I’ve taken on some design side work that is pretty time consuming. But I may be back.

Don’t worry. I’m not leaving just yet. I promised you the month of February. Come rain or shine, you’ll get February.

Maybe I’ll withdrawal $4,200 from the bank and fan myself with it before mailing it all away.

Guess you’ll just have to stay tuned.

Congratulations! You should definitely start a separate blog, otherwise you will be too missed!!!

  2. christy says:

You should definitely create a personal blog. if you decided to, let us know the web address.

It’s very motivating to others to see what one does with their money and life after such a major change in financial circumstances. Maybe the owner of this blog could start a “life after debt” blog, where you and your predecessor can periodically update the readers about the changes you make.

  4. Stephanie says:

I definitely think you should start another blog. Let us know the new address because I want to read it!

  5. Matt says:

Are you going to pass the blog onto someone new? You could take “applications” or “proposals” from people and select someone to whom you can pass the baton!

    • jeffrey says:

@Matt — Yes, we had applications about a month ago and there is a new blogger who is in debt in the wings who will begin next month to blog away debt

  6. Shannon says:

Please do start another blog. I’m too invested in your life now. LOL

And super big congrats again. If it were me I totally would take the cash out and roll around in it a la Demi Moore in Indecent Proposal. hee hee…fun to think about anyways!!

Congratuatlions on acheiving this goal. You’ve accomplished this milestone at such a young age. Now with a new baby you have a whole new world ahead of you. There will still be a load of budgeting to do and planning for this lil one’s future (and the future siblings. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

  8. Waiting always seems to be the worst part of tax refund time. I think it’s because in the back of our minds we have this thought that maybe we did something wrong and they aren’t really going to be sending us all that money.

Congratulations again and I agree with others that you should definitely start a personal, life after debt blog. The decisions you make now are probably more important than the ones you were making to get out of debt.

I should mention the kind gentleman who owns this website has offered to set me up with another ‘life after debt’ sort of site but I’ve turned him down – for now anyway. I put a little too much on my plate with other work and it’s turned into a time problem. But I have a feeling a will be back sooner rather than later. I’d miss you folks too much!

Thanks for all the kind words!
