I spent some time yesterday catching up on my blog reading. I was pretty far behind. I follow over 120 blogs so I had some reading to do! Here are some articles that caught my eye to share with all of you.
Kevin is now mortgage free. Congrats!
Ms Broke argues that keeping cash on you is a bad idea. I follow her reasoning and we barely have cash on us. We end up spending it too easily. But everyone is different.
Twiggers shares a cautionary article about spending $10 today, be out $100K tomorrow. Very interesting.
Things have finally caught up to JW. Paying off debt is important, but it’s not the most important thing in the world. JW, we wish you a very speedy recovery!
Arduous has spent nine months not buying new stuff. Congrats!

120 blogs??!!!! That’s a heck of a lot of time. A good way to speed up getting out of debt might be to reduce that to reading the 10-20 blogs that you really care about and to spend all of the saved time bringing more income into the household!

Mark – well, I use Bloglines.com which helps greatly. Also, a lot of the blogs that are included in that total are debt blogs and some have gone dormant. I do hang on to their feed in hopes that they come back and periodically update.
Often what I do is read through weekly. I admit, I do a lot of skimming.

That’s a lot of reading. I follow about 15 blogs. I was totally surprised about how many people blog about debt when I started this.
Thanks for the links…off to add more reading to mu list

Gob Bless and Thank you Tricia. It’s taking me a bit to get adjusted to not being able to blink and gargle but, I’m grateful that its not any worse.

Has anyone ever heard of a company called debt be gone? I am looking for a debt consolidation company that is legit and actually contacts creditors right away as promised
