I was cruising the blog-o-sphere, and came across Climb out of Debt. Their story has a little twist, because they were once debt-free, but then they fell off the wagon and are in debt again.
Anyways, the author (Loopy) had a post asking if you fantasize about getting a large sum of money so you can pay off your debt.
I thought about it for a while, and I used to fantasize about getting a windfall. Since starting this journey, I haven’t and I’m not sure why. My fantasies now revolve around working part-time and having my to-do list completed. I’d get off work, checkmark that last item off of my list, then have the rest of the day to lay in a hammock outside just swaying in the warm summer breeze…Hakuna Matata…
That really sounds good right now considering the temps are in the teens outside and I’ve been working hard to get things completed before Christmas

Ack! Now I have that song in my head!
I fantasize about getting a large sum of money that I can use to earn enough interest to live on, does that count?

That sounds like a nice fantasy. I wonder how much money I would need to invest to be able to live off of the interest. Hmmm..

I certainly fantasize about being out of debt. Debt carries a huge burden, and the idea of being free is my motivation. I always told myself I would never go into debt. Yet here I am, and now it’s a long road out…. I certainly fantasize!

I fantasize about being out of dept all the time. A friend of mine at work is thinking about buying a new house her payment will be 3,000 dollars a month she is 32 and has two children,it is truly heavy on my heart that she is thinking about this. Why can’t people just spend LESS money and spend MORE time with there family!Remember the days when the mom stayed at home and on Sundays everybody stayed home, I miss the simply days.

I totally fantasize about being out of debt. Of course, I imagaine buying a new car and a better house and then…I’ll be right back in debt. The fantasy is really useful as a way to notice how much more emotional work I need to do so that I never go into debt again.

I fantasize about getting a large sum of money every now and then but it’s more of a desired location to reach rather than have it dropped in my lap. I don’t think I’m ready to handle a large sum of money for investment purposes. It would be nice to just be out of debt but it’ll feel that much better if I can claw my way out on my own.
