Today we stop and we honor the many heroes who laid down their lives for our freedoms. These heroes left their homes, creature comforts and many times families to fight for us. And they never came home.
Children grew up without their fathers. Wives became widows. Parents had to bury their sons and daughters. Because these many men and women chose to sacrifice their lives and their freedoms so that I/we can enjoy ours.
I hope you enjoy some time today with your loved ones. Eat a phenomenal food. Laugh and love those around you.
But do not forget those who have gone before us…those who died for us.
