Seems my electricity monthly budget plan I set up at the beginning of the year went up a good bit.  My guessing is to catch up for months before so I don’t end the year owing a hefty amount.  Other than that everything seems in line.

This month hasn’t been good in my budget and debt reduction.  A very sad event, a very close loved one passed away.  On numerous occasions we found ourselves traveling a hour and half away to the hospital, spending the day and eating at the cafeteria.  So without even looking into the numbers yet, I know we went over our dining out and gas.  We also had to use our charge card for the first time in two years to get diapers and other miscellaneous things, when I forgot to grab our envelope when we were down there.  I also accidentally bounced our checking account, so will be having to pay back some fines next month.

Ugh, seriously felt discouraged in all the events that happened over the last month.  But it’s about to be a new month, and with new months comes new opportunities.

Here’s to June!

Sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. Sometimes life throws us snags that can cost us money. The important thing in this case is you can pinpoint exactly what caused you to spend more than you had planned.

You’re getting really close to knocking out that store credit card. How excited are you and your wife to never owe interest in the 20%’s again?

That aside, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you were able to honor a life and tell stories about the good times. I hope your kids are doing okay with the loss – it’s a hard thing to explain to the younger ones sometimes.

What you’ve posted seems reasonable. Just wondering – what does the title mean “Monthly Ski Trip”?

I would assume it’s an allusion to starting out with a pile of money at the beginning of the month, and sliding down to having none by the end.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your family member, Jim. I wouldn’t expect financial perfection in a time like this.

    Hello Jim

    Sorry about your loss.

Wondering if maybe for June you could put the numbers in comparison to your budget instead of to the prior months? I think that might help see whether or not you are on track or not. Right now, this just seems like “here is what i spent”. While it might be good to know monthly figures i’m not sure how much use you can put that information to if you don’t have a plan for that. That might help with the overdrawn checking situation and what not.

Not sure what exactly you are asking for here debtor. Like what percentage is the amount compared to my income?

Sorry for your loss Jim. You are making progress, so don’t get discouraged by the unexpected expenses this month.

I’m sorry for your loss, Jim.

Don’t feel discouraged. I should be more discouraged than you but I can’t let myself feel down at the moment. Just Keep going!

So, what do you think ?
