My condolences. I have a fair collection of experience with the cost of medication and healthcare. I wouldn't lose any sleep over the side effects, though (so to speak): in my experience, what's written on the label is so overblown (I suppose it is only a consequence of our caveat vendor ideology giving trial lawyers so much power).

As an asthmatic, I have to admit that I am very fond of breathing myself! I do hope that the meds will help it ease up soon, as your doctor said.

Yeah, meds do take a chunk out of your budget. I know that some meds can be bought at Walmart for $4, and some can be mail ordered. But none of my asthma meds are covered by Walmart. I'm just thankful for insurance.

I'm with Jean. Don't fret over the cost! Last year I finally bit the bullet and had myself tested because of weird symptoms I had suffered for years. Cost -- nearly $4,000, and this on the heels of a $3,500 dental implant. But I got a diagnosis and with that a doctor and meds that help me manage symptoms. Life is so much better!! Definitely worth it, even though I have to wait a few more years for those much-needed, new kitchen counters :-)

Hope you're feeling better soon. Don't fret (too much) over the cost of the meds & co-pays - your health is important.

Hope you feel better and just another reason to hope for a quick spring (as I look out and the snow is falling fast and furious).
