Glad to hear you’re getting back to something resembling normal. Being sick that long must feel like an eternity.

Sorry, but what’s up with the Christmas gift? I’m going to assume that was bought before he was laid off and was unreturnable? When you’re stretching the remnants in the pantry to avoid buying groceries, buying any gifts seems counter productive.

I’d be interested to hear from others on whether they cut out or back on gifts this year. We opted out of some exchanges we’ve done in previous years, and for our own kids we cut back and shopped very carefully for what we did get. My husband and I stopped exchanging gifts 20yrs ago. If there’s anything we truly need it can’t wait for Christmas, and anything non-essential just becomes clutter.

That is too funny! Yeah, I don’t like choosing “easy” either…hey I live in Cleveland, ain’t nuthin’ easy here! Unemployment at 10.9% here, but thankfully I have two jobs. Hope you are feeling better soon!
