In the same vein, many banks now offer “keep the change” which simply means they round up your debit card purchases and auto transfer the change into a savings account. I started doing this about a year ago and have been absolutely amazed at how the change piles up. It also makes balancing the checkbook easier because you’re dealing with whole numbers! Thank you so much for posting this link! I had to close my Electric Orange account in the spring so I could be on a joint account with my dad (you can’t be on more than one Electric Orange acct – not convenient if you have relatives you need to help). Once we saw the reward, we opened a new checking acct in my husband’s name.
