It's an effort but I always require cash and watch out for scams. John - Well, I try to laugh but my sister is 15 pounds thinner than I am so I'm still angry. *laugh* Mysti - I've been paying off this debt for over a year. I'm so DONE with debt, it makes me sick just to think about it. I have a feeling, I won't be back to my credit card ways ever again! Nicole - My sister is a sneaky one. It isn't about the end...it is about the journey. If you rush to pay off your debt just to "beat" her, you are less likely to learn as much....thus the potential to fall back into old ways. At least you have a sister in the same boat. My brother is so fiscally responsible that he's never been in debt, and has huge savings. I never bring up finances with him, because he thinks I'm an idiot for being in debt (and I am, but I don't need him to tell me). :) Dh and I are finally seeing light at the end of the debt tunnel, but I still won't bring it up with my brother. He'll just find something else to harass me about. That’s motivation! At least you have a sister in the same boat.
