I've been a distance runner over 30 years, did 6 marathons, and the most mileage I did in a week was 105 miles,(7 x 15-mile days in a row) in 1996. I love endurance contest of all kinds. Make sure you don't try to learn in choppy water - made that mistake. Swallowed water and freaked out (I was a little deep). I survived obviously but the main thing is to gain confidence.
