As for the iPod issue – I always just ride with one ear bud. So that I can hear my music AND hear what is going on without disturbing anyone. =)

I love it that you’re racing against unsuspecting people.

I listen to my MP3 player while bicycling as well but I keep the volume low.

And, I agree, bicycling is a great way to leave your worries behind.

Haha! Biking is a great way to blow off steam. On the other hand, I’ve found that running works better for me. I guess some people just blow off steam differently

I think you should put streamers on your bike, just for fun. I’m in favor of adults acting like adults most of the time (young at heart kinda annoys me when adults act like kids constantly), but sometimes, a bit of whimsy keeps us from being older than our ages, too.

Radio mounted on the handlebars could be annoying to other people. If you’re in traffic (or potential traffic), make sure you can hear.

Have to agree about the earbuds-pretty dangerous on a bike. I think a handlebar mounted radio or player of some kind would be a lot better! I’ve done a lot of biking – but not as much since we had the kid! It’s a great stress reliever and good for you.

As an avid Chicago bicyclist, I can agree, a ride is a great way to clear your mind. Just be careful with the iPod. Too much traffic here for earbuds!
