Thanks again for mentioning us, Tricia!

To follow-up on Charlie's comment, the frequency of our assignments does vary quite a bit. Elastic Lab has a number of exciting projects coming up, and as we continue to grow, so will the number of projects we have available.

Since we have projects in place across the country, and different assignments for different experience levels, you never know when a project comes up that you'll be a perfect fit for, so I encourage anyone interested to signup and see what it's like to work with us.

@Alex We've got assignments available for amateurs, too, like shooting interviews or b-roll. There's also plenty of room for amateurs to advance to more complex assignments as they gain experience.

I personally haven't done anything with Elasticlab.com, but a friend of mine claims it to work out great for him. I'm not sure about how well it would work for an amateur, he has his own film production company, and does it for side money.

Cool - I immediately passed on the word to a friend of mine who is a film-maker in the making :) Let's see if he actually joins and tries it out.
How's the stockphotos thing going?

Hey Tricia,

One thing I probably should go back and mention in that post I wrote a few months ago is how infrequently Elastic Lab offers assignments. In the 5 months I've been with them, they have only given me two opportunities to make any money (i.e. there's no consistency). They're a young start-up company, so hopefully they rake in more clients over the next year and are able to dole out more assignments.

It's a fun and easy way to make money, but you won't make a lot of it, unfortunately.

Interesting info, Tricia. I currently write for extra income, but I've often wondered about photo sites.

Have you had any luck/made any money with istockphoto?
