I just got a tip that one of America’s Thriftiest Families is going to be on Oprah today and they are going to give some of their tips. Right now, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to catch it. But it sounds like a great show!
There’s more about today’s show on Oprah’s homepage.
Thanks Dawn for the tip!
UPDATE: I didn’t get to catch the show, but head on over to Mom’s Budget Files for a nice recap of some tips from the show!

Oh, darn. When I saw that title, I thought for a minute that you were going to say you were going to be on Oprah.

I saw this whole episode and I am inspired! I really realized that there is a lot more that I can do to save money (to pay off debt.) I am really excited about the coupons. I remember one time that I saved $26 on double coupon day. I always plan our meals for the week and use a shopping list but I had used the sale flier and a ton of coupons. The check out employee had to page a manager to approve the transaction! I am also going to re-evaluate what we can do to reduce our energy cost/consumption.

I didn’t get to watch the episode! Any chance that you are going to cover the topics/tips in a future post? I’ll keep a look out.

I love the stories Oprah shared on her program. They are an inspiration to us that are trying to work ourselves out of debt.
