I tend to speak too soon. I did it again with our IRS payment because it cleared the bank this morning. Whew! I do tend to worry a lot more than I probably should. Not sure why, I’ve been like that for as long as I can remember.
Okay, on to some links this morning.
First up is DebtKid, keeping it real, with a post about debt and loneliness.
Silicon Valley Blogger has an article about recessions. I’m not in tune to the economy as a whole so this was an interesting read for me. I have read a few other articles yesterday related to the economy that didn’t sit well with me, and I’ll write more about them later.
Cleverdude started a mini garden. We have a small garden in our yard, but I’ve been thinking about bringing some of it indoors. With grocery costs increasing, it might be a good thing to do.
Lastly, congrats to NCN who just welcomed baby number three into his household! It’s funny, when I think of my son as a baby, I can still smell the “new baby” smell

Yay! I got my IRS return yesterday! All $187 worth! I also just got through with an audit of my 2006 taxes
that wasn’t fun but it is good material for my blog!
We are hoping to offest some of our produce costs as our square foot garden begins to take shape. We’ll be enjoying strawberries, cucumber sandwiches, squash casseroles and home-grown cataloupes during the summer. I can’t wait!
Glad the IRS worry was a worry over nothing. I good links today! Concrats to NCN, we just had our third 6 weeks ago. That new baby smell is very comforting. As well as the baby. Just being around him helps when I a really down.

Just thought you’d be interested.
I also love the idea of the mini garden and have just planted tomatoes in some large pots myself. I have also been reading a blog where they teach readers to build a storage of food. It has been working great for us and I am confident that we will soon be to the point where we will only have to purchase things when they are on sale. Check it out: blog.totallyready.com
Worrying is good. Only when things are done to excess is when they tend to get dangerous. Like our debt. LOL!
Thanks for bringing to light the topic on recessions. It seems to be the hot topic in the media today — finally the economy is catching up to the sector market slumps that have been going on since last year?
Love the garden idea too. It’s one of my few luxuries… to maintain one outside and in!
small gardens are very cute and could be well managed easily. we have 2 small gardens at home.,~:
