Hello All,

An excellent article. Primarily covers some basics to Get debt free. I would like to give a personal example. When I was in debt, 1 fine day I got up and realised that I would stay in debt till the time I do not get out of habit of staying in debt. I decided not to use my credit anymore. I cut all my cards and locked them in a vault. I started paying all of them 25% of the total debt each month. I used to have 2 cars, I sold 1 car and with that money, paid off the car loan on the other car. It took me 6 months to get completely debt free. All you need to do is, get into the habit of living in real world. Thatz it. You just need to realise that the credit limit of your cards, is NOT YOUR money. It is a loan, an easy way for the banks to make money from you. I am glad I realized that in time and I am doing very good as of now.

Thanks!

thanks for this article. i have just started trying to get our debt in check. i racked my brain for ways to cut out spending and have more money to apply to our debt.

the only option i could come up with was one Ryan mentioned.... a part time job. as much as i hate the idea of giving up free time, i am really committed to becoming debt free.

not sure why it took me so long to realize the obvious answer!
