Yay for Friday. Another work week is almost over. This weekend, I am going to be a very, very busy gal pricing things for our garage sale. It is going to be one VERY big sale…more on that later.
Now for some posts I enjoyed this week.
Don’t feel like merely cutting up your credit cards? Make toy boomerangs out of them. I’m tempted to give it a whirl. My luck, though…it would come back and hit my right knee
(inside joke for those following Blogging Away Fat).
Mighty Bargain Hunter points to a thread where a man who makes over $100,000/year is in debt over his head. It goes to show that debt troubles are not just for low wage earners.
Lazy Man’s new wife spends $200 for a cut and color every 6 weeks. So he asking women: what is your hair budget? I looked back in my Quicken history and my hair spending worked out to $3.00/year (that doesn’t include shampoo or conditioner). Yikes!
What’s coming up? This weekend I will be posting my long overdue income and expense report for June. Next week I will be posting a book review and will have a special giveaway. Stay tuned!

Wow…used to spend about 100 dollars a year on hair. I took a huge jump recently and now spend 28 dollars every six weeks. I get it highlighted and cut at the beauty college, and I’m considering stopping because it is costing too much for my personal comfort level!
My husband spends zero- I cut his hair at home every month.

I hope your garage sale goes better, mine was a total bust. Rain was a big problem the weekend of mine and the HOA has specific garage sale dates.
My wife cuts my hair and she spends about $40 every 2-3 months. I think it balances out overall.

I feel good about having spent under $40 (including tip) on my haircut. There’s no way I get my hair cut more than 3 or 4 times a year. Every 6 weeks is not feasible as life is too hectic.

I usually trade skills with a friend who cuts hair, but once in a while I splurge and get the $15 one at Great Clips or some place like that. Usually I spend around $30 a year.
I’m glad to see someone else doesn’t have their June income/expense report done. I’m working on it this weekend — I promise.
