This blog is basically the journey of our family to eliminate our credit card debt and get our financial house in order. I’ve been blogging about it since February 2006 and there have been good times, as well as bad times. This blog provides a great deal of motivation to me, and I love the interaction with readers through the comments or emails. In turn, I hope reading about our story can help others.

Hi Courtney. Thanks for the head’s up about Parents magazine. Last I knew, they were not going to mention my site so it is interesting that they did. I haven’t been able to get an issue yet to look at.

I just found you this last week by doing a search (I can’t recall the keywords),and now subscribe to your feed. We’re just beginning to take our spending/living more seriously after nearly 20 years of marriage and I’m glad to know there are so many excellent resources available. Thank you for your transparency and willingness to “let it all hang out” for the world to see and learn from.

Good grief, woman! Now NPR and Parents magazine too? You could build your own cult. Start with a huge Woodstock-style Save-In (Debt-Out?) down at the Gay stamp sands. “Concerts” by finance celebrities, card-shredding stations, a vendor area where online banks and PF authors can hawk their wares (cash only of course) - the whole nine yards.

DC Smith - No cult building for me, but that is the funniest thing I’ve read in a while. If you think about it, it’s probably a great place to get together because the only place to spend money at for miles is the Gay Bar. I’m not sure off-hand if they even take credit.
