Happy Friday everyone! Here are some article that caught my eye this week:

Boomie from The Wastrel Show (Confessions of a Middle Aged Spendthrift) shares how she makes pizza for $1.25!

Michael’s wife found a cute pair of earrings (not what you’d expect!).

Nickel shares some moving sale tips.

Lastly, if you own an ugly couch you may be interested in a contest that Club Furtniture is putting on: World’s Ugliest Couch Contest. You can win a free couch. Do you think I should enter with the couch we found on the side of the road? It is ugly, but I’m not so sure it’s the ugliest. Maybe I’ll give it a shot anyways.

Enjoy!

Whatever happened to you adding pictures to your blog posts? I don’t believe I’ve seen one yet.

I haven’t done so well with trying to do that more, and now, I can’t because our digital camera broke. My husband does have a camera within his video camera, but it’s not convenient to carry around with us (it’s a bigger size camera).

It figures, because after the camera broke I’ve seen some interesting things I could take a pic of and blog about. I am still going to try to add more pictures…I haven’t taken it off my blog resolution list yet ;)

Hi. Thanks for the top intro.
It’s Friday night and I just made myself another pizza. They keep getting better and better.
    Buono Appetito to everyone!

Domino’s must make their pizzas cheaper than $1.25 in order to sell them to us for $5.00.

  5. boomie responded:

When you place an order with Domino’s, do you just order the pizza? Do you order soda, or whatever else they sell? Do you tip the delivery person? Do you drive to Domino’s to pick it up or eat it there? All add costs on to your bottom line.
I only ate at a Domino’s once. As I was eating the pizza my legs and ankles started to swell. The food was extremely salty and it affected me.
Yes, Domino’s probably makes their $5 pizza cheaper. The profit margin on pizza is enormous. It’s just flour and water, some ground tomatoes and fake cheese.

    Thanks for the information

Alot of my friends make the pizza dough as well but I don’t have a bread maker or the room so we go with the premade pizza bottoms. I find they taste just as good. One thing i do is make my own tomato sauce. Tin of diced tomatoes garlic onions and a by leaf. I tried tomato paste once but found it a bit strong. The cost for homemade pizza comes out about the same as a store bought one (particularly if you put good ingredients on) but there is no comparison on taste.
