mapgirl - thanks!

Viriatha - I keep track of everything in Quicken. I try to avoid cash at all costs because it is so hard to keep track of.

Amy - thanks!

Danielle - I haven't made near minimum wage for a few years now. However, my husband was making near minimum wage (minimum wage is $6.95/hr now in Michigan) with his old job before he "lost" it (basically his hours were cut in an effort to get him to quit which he did). If you wouldn't mind pointing out where you read that, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to make sure it is clear.

On one post of yours that I read, you stated that you made minimum wage...
Minimum wage for one worker, full time is just over 10K a year, not 36K. Is it different where you live, or was "minimum wage" just another word for "not much"?

I don't know how I hadn't run across your blog before. I have added it to my feed and I am going to add your decorating tips to my favorites that I list on Thursdays. Congrats on your NYT mention! That is amazing! I am sure it was quite the honor. Keep up the good work!!

Hi! How do you keep track of everything you spend? I'm always spending small amounts (I never take much cash out of the house, you can't spend what stays at home.) and I'm finding I have trouble tracking it.
