Around the blog-o-sphere, there have been some interesting April Fool’s jokes:
Wisebread thought it would be neat if the US Mint gave everyone 2 $1.00 coins for a $1.00 bill. If they did that, I’d be first in line!!
Golbguru proclaimed that Warren Buffett is Buying His Blog. Why he didn’t pick the person in debt is beyond me. Hey, Mr. Buffett…I’m over here!! LOL.
As for me, I didn’t play any pranks on anyone and by my late posting today I wasn’t pulling a prank. Today was rather uneventful except for the fact that I have been working hard to bring my idea to light. I was hoping to not have to spend any money to get things up and running but it looks like I may need to spend about $650. We technically have the money in our savings account to cover this expense but it’s not easy parting with that money when I know things are going to be rough financially shortly.
Decisions…decisions…life is full of them. You can think through them till you are blue in the face but in the end you just have to hope you make the right one!

I am sorry that your savings endeavour is at a halt right now. I have a ton of decisions to make too, right now with summer coming and still working to pay off debt. I’ll pray that your light eventually does come regarding your life.
You were mentioned on my blog a few days ago. Come check it out. Blessings and a clear head, I wish for you.

How urgent is it for you to get your idea going? Do you have to get running as soon as possible, or can you wait a little bit? If you can wait, then maybe set aside money each month towards the $650 start up cost.

akb – thank you for your sympathy. It is appreciated
Jen – Once I get something in my head, I either have to go for it right then and there or it doesn’t get done at all. Since this idea has the potential to bring in income that we could really use right now, I want to get this going as soon as possible. Besides the $650 – there is little other cost.
I can possibly wait for the expense (it’s for a good camera) and do with the sub-par camera that we have. At some point, I will need the better camera and I will have to re-do the work already done with the sub-par camera.
I think I should sit down and create a spreadsheet and really look at the cost vs benefit of the purchase and factor in my time.

I wish I had the deal like that….better still I wish you had a deal like that.
You are looking at some really expensive camera for $650…possibly a Canon EOS or a Nikon D50 with lenses or something? I have no business interfering in your ideas…but perhaps you could find a cheaper alternative. Something like a Canon S3 IS, or a Sony DSC H7 (incredible camera). Hopefully these are not “sub-par” cameras for your taste. Just my $0.02.

Small addendum: the Sony DSC H7 will be released around first week of May. So it’s not a “now” solution.
