J.D. over at Get Rich Slowly asked if I would write an article about my experience with obtaining a loan through Prosper.com. I decided to do it and J.D. posted it earlier this week.

If you are interested, you can take a peek here.

You also may want to spend some time reading some of his articles. There’s some good stuff over there.

    You state:
in hindsight I could do a few things differently to try to obtain a lower rate.

What would you have done differently?

I’m contemplating doing the same in a few months to help consolidate some debt, and if you’ve got tips, I’m all ears!

  2. Chris responded:

Thanks for the review! Prosper looks like an interesting place to play with disposable money by earning high interest as a lender.

  3. Dan responded:

I’ve been using Prosper for a few weeks now and have an average loan rate of 13%. So far, so good, a few of the loans are paying already. I’m posting my findings, strategies and lessons learned on my finance blog. Enjoy!
