Interesting the different perspectives people can have on the same event. Naturally I applaud the cabbie for returning the diamonds, but what struck me most about this case is the person who lost the diamonds. A 30 cent tip?!?! A $100 reward for the safe return of diamonds probably worth more than $10000?!?! And she is a diamond dealer?!?!?! Its not like we're talking about a minimum wage worker here!

We do need more people like Chowdhury in this country, but we also need a lot less like the jeweler. If you want to deport a group of people, I say let it be the rich!

I heard today that the Jeweler only gave him a $.30 tip on the original cab ride too!!! (and yes, that is 30 cents) Can you imagine?! I hope he lives with the guilt and tips properly from here on out!

I am glad there are good people in the world.

I guess people would treat different lost items in different ways. Would you have returned a wad of cash you found on the sidewalk versus a bag of diamonds? It's alot easier to find the owner of a bag of diamonds because the claimant can probably provide proof of ownership versus someone trying to claim a wad of cash.

It kind of fills you with hope. Doesn't it? We are smacked in the face daily with the wrong and the evil. The world is not all evil, there is good. I think more good than we realize, due to tv and radio.

I would get the diamonds to the owner too. It would keep me on edge until I found them. I think most people would feel this way. Or at least that is what I will tell myself.
