Thank you all of you here.
I am glad to stumble upon bloggingawaydebt.com and from here I get to visit other interesting links.
Most important of all,I am truly inspired by all of you here. I want to be DEBT FREEEEEE !

My goal this year is to cut down 30% of my credit card debts.I have written letters to banks asking for lower interest rate. And YES,one bank offered 9% and another bank offered 12% which I think is better than the 18% now !
Again,I will keep coming back to your blog.

(i remember when it was practically all i could think about). :) trust me, in the end its worth all the sacrifices that you make to get rid of the debt. good luck everybody!

I have no idea how I got here, but I love the idea of paying down debt. This year I have taxes, trips, and about 32k of student debt that I want to pay off... but expenses in NYC are high, and my spending habits are terrible. Wish me luck ;)

Thanks for the round up. I think it's good to pull them together so the rest of us have some concrete places to go for support.

As for me, I think I can pay down at least $10K of my debt this year if I stay focused. (over 50% of the credit cards!)

Tyler, instead of paying off the mortgage, could you contribute more towards retirement? I guess it all depends on your mortgage interest rate and future plans though.

The worst thing about being out of debt is feeling like you are still in debt. Saving for the future feels like you are still in debt. You are owing, granted you are owing yourself. The budget still feels tight after debt, because you are trying to reach the goal for retirement.

I've been a weak blogger lately, but I'm no less dedicated to ditching my debt. Check back with me this month - my debt will be gone by the time March rolls in. Thanks for a great blog! It's folks like you and the bloggers you listed who inspire and educate me to get out of debt!

I'm definitely looking forward to the day that I'm no longer carrying a debtload when the credit cards become tools rather than burdens I will be a happy man.

By the way I love the layout change to the site.

I can't even imagine the day I pay off my last auto, student or credit card loan (whichever is last) and become debt free.

Only $79,000 more to go!
