While going through my archives to write about My Top Frugal Posts of 2006, I realized that I still need to post a picture of the couch that I got on the side of the road for free.
Now that the excitement has worn off, I will admit that the couch is a bit ugly as my husband first noted. But, it’s a couch and you can sit on it. It works for me for now!
So, here it is modeled by my kitty cat and by my son’s doggie that he received for Christmas.

I think for 2007 I am going to try to incorporate more pictures into my blog. Not pictures for the sake of having pictures, but pictures that were taken by me and add to what I’m blogging about. I guess that can be one of my blogging resolutions ![]()

Hey, if it is good enough for the cat, I could live with it. Besides, if the colors bother him or style, get a cover. It will be brand new then.

LOL - my cat actually loves that couch. He’s claimed that one, and the dog (the real one, not the stuffed one ;)) has the other one.

That couch looks like it was really well taken care of before you got it. I would say its a great find!

It’s not that bad! I’m sure you can probably take a cheap class at the fabric store on upholstering furniture. Who knows it might come in handy some time! Great find!

Ha, ha! You and my husband would get along great! I don’t know how many times he’s gone outside with the trash, and came back with furniture. I call the dumpster his favorite store.
I know it’s frugal, but I just can’t deal with it. I am sick of my home being a trash dump. Side-of-the-road furniture is all we have. I had a bit of an emotional breakdown after he brought home the last stray, and he really responded.
But then, last week, I spotted a toddler bed by the dumpster. Our crib mattress would fit, so we’d just need to clean the bedframe. I was running late though, and didn’t have time to stop. My husband had a good chuckle about that!
