I was watching the Today show last week, and on there they showed how they were able to get credit cards by repairing ripped applications. I also shared a while ago a website that showed how someone did it.
I have a shredder, but sometimes the applications get to be too much. If you want them to stop sending them to you, then you can call 1-888-5OPT-OUT (1-888-567-8688). Just a note, they will ask for your social security number, but it is okay to give it to them in this instance.
Here’s a few trusted sites that mention that number: State of Michigan & Experian.
