My son really wants to be a ghost for Halloween this year. I looked at all of the costumes at Walmart, but there’s no way I’m paying $17.00 for an outfit he will only wear once.
So guess how I’m making his costume?
Yep, a white sheet. We actually do not have one in the house, so I bought a twin size flat sheet for $2.50. I also purchased some white face paint for $0.97.
Unfortunately, I have never used a sewing machine in my life except for the brief lesson my mom gave me when she gave me one of her sewing machines. So, the actual result may be a little interesting. But, for a ghost, as long as he mostly looks white it should be okay, right? LOL.
It’s cute that he’s so excited about his costume. Mom’s excited too!

Good idea. My son wanted to be Tigger this year. I got a handed down tiger costume from my boss, and luckily, the little guy is satisfied. Good thing, because most of the Tigger costumes I’ve seen are for babies and toddlers, not big 3-year-olds, and they’re pricey.
We tried the tiger costume on last night. We had to roll up the cuffs because it’s too big, but he loved it. Wanted to eat his “tiger dinner” in it and threw a fit when I said he had to take it off to sit at the dinner table. For about an hour, I was “Tiger Mama” and his dad was “Tiger Papa” and everything was tiger tiger tiger. I was afraid he’d demand to wear it to school today, but luckily he was too sleepy to think of it.

I’ve been fortunate, my son has yet to ask to be a cartoon character so far (except for Bob the Builder but he’s pretty easy to do with a hard hat and a tool belt).
That sounds so cute with the Tiger costume and the Tiger family. Is Tiger Mama and Tiger Papa dressing up for Halloween as well?
